Hawaiian Brian's another New location to add to our Ohana
Just want to say welcome to the newest Medalist location “Hawaiian Brian’s” on Kapiolani Blvd. Many of you know this location for pool and pool tournaments, now there’s a bar HB Lounge and medalist dart boards are in there.
This is another town location for dart leagues - close to shopping centers and other great facilities. Alan of Leisure Games has installed medalist boards in this location and they are looking for league and tournament players.
On Sunday evenings, Super Count Up and Real Deal Dart tournaments for beginners are tentatively scheduled. Dart sets and other prizes will be given out at these tournaments. Doug and Shannon Kamae have been assigned to coordinate most of the promotional tournaments in connection with Leisure Games.
A
bulletin board will be placed there for players to get the latest information on
league and tournament activities scheduled. Sign-ups for the Medalist Spring
League are going on now. Sign-up this season to qualify for the South West
Finals/Medalist World Championships, July 22, 23, and 24, 2010 in Las Vegas.
Remember league sign ups close on January 17th, if you are interested
in playing out of Hawaiian Brian’s please let your dart coordinator know.
HB Lounge will be included in the next Pacific Dart Tour. Round trip airfares to Las Vegas will be raffled off at the next Pacific Dart Tour Final. One or two tournaments will be scheduled there during the Christmas and New Years break – keep watching our website for updates on the Calendar and Event pages.
Aloha

There’s a new bar on the block that has Medalist boards (Leisure Games). Recently, I had the privilege of going to Okole’s and was pleasantly surprised at the good local kind atmosphere.
This is the old Unko joes – it has new owners, it’s been redone that many of you will be surprised at the difference in look. It has 6 boards – great for tournaments. There is ample parking – the bar next door is still closed and neighboring businesses allow parking in their lots after 6:00 PM.
I spoke with co-owner Robert- their vision is to create an atmosphere of a true sports bar like the old Players locations. Well, they are on there way with 6 dart boards and 2 pool tables. The food is good I had the opportunity of having opihi, smoked fish and a couple of other things. The opihi and smoked fish is brought in from the Big Island.
Tournament anyone – if you are interested in seeing this new location – check the website for dates and times. We will be posting this as we do with all other locations at www.808dartsrus.com
There are plans in the works right now for a tournament in January with the return of the 4 Man Pro Am! Check our next edition of the newsletter and/or website for more information.
Aloha All see you there
